Saue Municipality (population 23 000)
Saue is a municipality in Estonian capital region that was formed in October 2017 during the Estonian administrative reform by a merger of 4 pre-reform municipalities. It has an area of
630 square kilometres and very versatile population structure – there urban settlements as well as vast rural areas. It’s strategic location as a neighbour of Estonian capital withholds
strong development potential – the municipality’s population is growing and both commercial and social infrastructure is developing. Municipality and its main settlements
are well connected with national highways and railroad.
Project is coordinated by Mrs. Kadri Tillemann (MSc in environmental sciences), she is a local/rural development consultant contributing into various Estonian and international
development initiatives. She been actively involved in local governance issues from the earliest stages of her career – she has held different specialist and managerial posts and
consulted a number orgnaisations and institutions.
